Yebda's career is marked by a rare international switch that paid off, as he became a regular in Algeria's midfield during their most successful era. He helped the team reach the 2010 Africa Cup of Nations semi-finals and qualify for back-to-back World Cups, a feat that had never been achieved by Algeria before.
