Ichikawa's record is less about trophies than about influence. Land of the Lustrous ran for twelve years and more than twelve volumes, and the 2017 Studio Orange adaptation is now routinely cited as the series that proved fully CG anime could be taken seriously as art. Her crystalline linework and use of negative space have shaped a generation of fantasy manga. The Pokemon TCG commission in 2022 was a rare mainstream crossover for a creator who keeps a low profile. When the manga ended in April 2024, it did so on her own schedule, a feat few long-running series manage.

Land of the Lustrous ran from 2012 to 2024 and ended with Chapter 108 exactly as Ichikawa intended, a rare outcome for a long-running series.
