Jennie and Dua Lipa team up for 'Handlebars,' a mid-tempo R&B track about the reckless thrill of falling in love too quickly. Released on March 14, 2025, as the fifth single from Jennie's debut album Ruby, the song reached US contemporary hit radio via Columbia Records and Italian radio through Sony Music Italy three days later. Co-written by Lipa, Amy Allen, Delacey, James Alan Ghaleb, and Rob Bisel, and produced by Bisel with Ido Zmishlany, 'Handlebars' earned positive reviews for its carefree energy and the chemistry between the two artists.

The track debuted at number 21 on the Billboard Global 200 and cracked the top ten in several Asian markets, including Hong Kong, Malaysia, and Singapore. It also entered the US Billboard Hot 100 at number 80, marking Jennie's fifth consecutive single from Ruby to chart there. In the UK, it peaked at number 19 on the UK Singles Chart, and it reached number one on the Billboard Malaysia Songs chart. As of late 2025, 'Handlebars' has been certified Platinum in the US by the RIAA, Gold in Canada by Music Canada, and Silver in the UK by the BPI.

The music video, directed by the duo BRTHR and released on Jennie's YouTube channel on March 10, presents a technicolor psychedelic world where the singers navigate a heart-shaped spider's web, symbolizing love's entanglements. Surreal CGI visuals of giant spiders, neon lights, and a kaleidoscopic, dreamlike aesthetic have helped the video amass over 180 million views as of early 2026. Jennie performed the song on her Ruby Experience tour, at Billboard's Iconic Stage, Coachella, and during Blackpink's Deadline World Tour. The song also received a nomination for the Ballad Award at the 34th Seoul Music Awards.[edit]
