Records
Hajime Mappa is one of the most decorated anime directors of his generation. His work on Chainsaw Man earned back-to-back Best Director wins at the Newtype Anime Awards and a sweep of the top prizes at the 2022 Crunchyroll Anime Awards. He is the first director to win Anime of the Year at Crunchyroll for two different series (Yuri on Ice and Chainsaw Man). In 2025, he was honored with the Japanese Minister of Education's Art Encouragement Prize, recognizing his cultural impact.
