United States"Dance your way to equality and let the rhythm lead."
Overview
Nikki Blonsky steps into the spotlight as Tracy Turnblad, a cheerful teenager in 1962 Baltimore who dreams of dancing on The Corny Collins Show. Directed by Adam Shankman, this lively musical adaptation brings John Waters' original vision to life with a fresh cast that includes Christopher Walken and Michelle Pfeiffer. The film balances its upbeat tone with serious commentary on racial segregation during the early sixties.
