Haim is an American rock band composed of sisters Este, Danielle, and Alana Haim. The band's name is pronounced "HY-im" (rhyming with "time") and is a stylization of their last name. The sisters are of Israeli descent; their father is Israeli and their mother is American. Each sister is proficient in multiple instruments: Este plays bass, guitar, and piano; Danielle plays guitar, drums, and bass; Alana plays guitar, keyboards, and drums. Este Haim holds a degree in ethnomusicology from UCLA. The band has a close friendship with Taylor Swift, who featured them on her 2019 song "Soon You'll Get Better" and appeared in her "Delicate" music video.
