Hades II

Supergiant Games returns with their first direct sequel, Hades II, a roguelike action RPG that picks up where the original left off. Players step into the sandals of Melinoe, Princess of the Underworld and sister to Zagreus, on a mission to defeat Chronos, the Titan of Time. The game retains the signature fast-paced combat and branching narrative of its predecessor, but introduces new magic systems, a deeper crafting loop, and a fresh pantheon of Olympian allies to aid your escape attempts. Each run through the ever-shifting underworld offers new boons, weapons, and story fragments, encouraging repeated playthroughs to uncover all the secrets.

Announced in December 2022, Hades II launched in early access for Windows in May 2024, followed by macOS in October 2024. The full 1.0 release arrived in September 2025 on PC, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2, with PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions following in April 2026. Critics praised the game's gorgeous hand-drawn art, haunting soundtrack, and polished voice acting, though some found the initial ending unsatisfying.
