Habibti

Habibti (stylized in all caps) is one of three studio albums Drake surprise-released on May 15, 2026, through OVO Sound and Republic Records. The album leans heavily into contemporary R&B, with Drake exploring themes of intimacy and longing over lush, minimalist production. Frequent collaborator Noah “40” Shebib handles much of the production, joined by other trusted beatmakers including Boi-1da, T-Minus, and Vinylz.

The full track listing runs 38 minutes and 7 seconds across 12 songs. Guest appearances come from Qendresa, Sexyy Red, Loe Shimmy, and PartyNextDoor, each adding distinct flavors to the moody soundscape. Two singles were released: “Lay With Me” featuring Qendresa on May 22, 2026, which peaked at number 8 on the Billboard Hot 100, and “All Night” featuring Sexyy Red on June 5, 2026, which reached number 14.

Commercially, Habibti debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 with 492,000 album-equivalent units in its first week, including 180,000 pure sales, making it Drake’s 14th number-one album in the U.S. It also topped the charts in Canada, the UK, and Australia. The RIAA certified the album platinum on June 10, 2026, for shipments of one million units.

Critical reception was generally positive, with a Metacritic score of 78 based on 22 reviews. Pitchfork rated it 7.5/10, praising its “cohesive, sensual production” but noting that “some tracks feel unfinished.” Rolling Stone gave it 4/5 stars, calling it “Drake’s most emotionally direct R&B work since Take Care.” The album received two nominations at the 2027 Grammy Awards: Best R&B Album and Best R&B Song for “Lay With Me.” It also won Favorite R&B Album at the 2027 American Music Awards.[edit]
