Gus Fring

Gustavo Fring was born in Chile during the oppressive Pinochet dictatorship. He formed a partnership with Max Arciniega to distribute drugs and fund their escape from the country. Their operation grew successful until Hector Salamanca murdered Max over a financial dispute. This tragedy forged Gus into a man driven by cold, calculated revenge against the Salamanca family.

He spent years infiltrating the cartel hierarchy before turning on them to build an independent empire. Gus established Los Pollos Hermanos as a legitimate front for his massive methamphetamine distribution network in Albuquerque.
