The Party

The Party is a disbanded pop group that originally formed from the cast of The All-New Mickey Mouse Club. They were the first pop group born on the MMC and they launched Disney's Hollywood Records. The group released four albums with tracks produced by notable figures including Dr. Dre, Pharrell Williams, Teddy Riley, André Cymone, Stephen Bray, and Jellybean Benitez. For the 30th anniversary of the group, Hollywood Records released their catalogue to digital platforms, and the band hit the Top 10 on iTunes. The Party came together from the cast of The All-New Mickey Mouse Club, which aired on the Disney Channel from 1989 to 1994. Disney executives saw potential in the musical talents of the Mouseketeers and assembled the group. Initial rehearsals took place at Disney's Hollywood Studios, and the group performed their first live show at Epcot Center in 1990. The Party performed the first original song done on the MMC.
