GIRLSET

Girlset is a four-member American girl group under JYP Entertainment and Republic Records. The group currently consists of Camila, Lexi, Kendall, and Savanna. They are known for their polished performances, bilingual releases in English and Korean, and a sound that blends American pop with K-pop production sensibilities. Since rebranding in August 2025, the group has been active in the US and Korean markets, building a dedicated international fanbase. Girlset was formed through the reality competition show A2K (America to Korea), a joint project between JYP Entertainment and Republic Records that aired in 2023. The show brought together American trainees who underwent rigorous K-pop-style training in both the US and South Korea. From hundreds of applicants, six finalists were selected to debut as VCHA in January 2024: Camila, Lexi, Kendall, Savanna, KG, and Kaylee. The group released their debut single "Girls of the Year" and an EP titled "SeVit" shortly after. In December 2024, KG announced her departure citing personal reasons and creative differences. Kaylee followed in July 2025, leaving the remaining four members. The quartet rebranded as Girlset in August 2025, signaling a fresh start with a new musical direction.[edit]

Girlset's music is rooted in pop and R&B, with influences from both American and K-pop traditions. Their songs feature catchy melodies, layered harmonies, and polished production typical of JYP's output. The group often incorporates English and Korean lyrics, reflecting their cross-cultural identity. Their debut EP leaned toward upbeat, synth-driven pop, while later releases have explored more mature themes and diverse genres including dance-pop and balladry.
