Fromis 9, also known as fromis_9, is a South Korean girl group currently active with five members: Song Ha-young, Park Ji-won, Lee Chae-young, Lee Na-gyung, and Baek Ji-heon. Originally debuting as nine members in January 2018 after forming on the Mnet reality show Idol School, the group has since seen member changes, including Jang Gyu-ri's departure in July 2022 and the subsequent departures of Lee Sae-rom, Roh Ji-sun, and Lee Seo-yeon in February 2025. The group's music is primarily K-pop, often characterized by bright, upbeat melodies and energetic performances that have earned them a following for their refreshing sound. Fromis 9's career has been marked by shifts in management, moving from Stone Music Entertainment and Pledis Entertainment at debut, to Off the Record Entertainment, and then back to Pledis Entertainment.
