Greg Casar

Greg Casar's career is marked by significant legislative victories rather than traditional awards. He secured the first-ever rest and water break requirements for Texas construction workers, pushed Austin Energy to 56% renewable energy, and introduced the first federal heat rule to protect over 30 million workers. As chair of the Congressional Progressive Caucus and a member of the Squad, he has become a leading voice for progressive policies in Congress.
