Greedy

Tate McRae stepped into the global spotlight with a track that turned heads and filled dance floors worldwide. Released on September 15, 2023, Greedy arrived as the lead single for her second studio album, Think Later. The song blends sharp dance-pop beats with contemporary R&B textures to create an infectious sound that demands movement. McRae co-wrote the anthem alongside Amy Allen, Jasper Harris, and Ryan Tedder of OneRepublic, while the production team of Tedder and Harris shaped its polished yet raw energy.

The track defies traditional pop structures through minimalist production centered on a driving bassline and a repetitive hook that became a staple on TikTok. Lyrics explore themes of attraction and desire as the protagonist admits to being greedy in pursuit of romantic interest. Upon release the song climbed rapidly on major charts reaching number three on the US Billboard Hot 100 and securing top ten positions in the UK Singles Chart and across Australia and Canada. [edit]
