Grease

Set against the neon-soaked backdrop of 1959, Grease captures a summer romance that feels both timeless and specific. Sandy Olsson arrives from Australia as a sweet, innocent student who catches the eye of Danny Zuko, the leader of the local greaser gang. Their brief fling ends when they return to Rydell High, only to find themselves in the same school but worlds apart socially. The film follows their awkward attempts to reconnect while navigating the rigid hierarchies of high school cliques.[edit]
