Grade A Productions launched in 2014 when rapper Lil Bibby partnered with George "G-Money" Dickinson and Peter Jideonwo to create a hub for melodic trap artists. The trio established the company in Chicago with a clear mission to support raw talent that blended singing with traditional hip-hop flows. While the entity began operations in 2014, it solidified its reputation as a distinct industry force around 2017 after signing Jarad Higgins.

The label found its defining moment through Juice WRLD, whose posthumous catalog became the centerpiece of Grade A's commercial strategy. Following the artist's death in 2019, the team managed the release of Legends Never Die in 2020, followed by Fighting Demons in 2021 and The Party Never Ends in 2024. These releases demonstrated the group's ability to curate unfinished recordings into polished albums while maintaining the artist's original vision.

Beyond managing Juice WRLD's estate, Grade A has expanded its roster to include Bloodhound Lil Jeff, Lady Binladen, and Triple 3. The company also organizes annual tributes like Juice WRLD Day at the United Center in Chicago, an event that began in 2022 to celebrate the musician's life and music. Financial details remain private, but the label secured a multimillion-dollar stake in the catalog through a partnership with Opus Music Group in early 2023. [edit]
