About This Album
Michael Jackson took a sharp turn into hard rock with "Give In to Me," the seventh single from his 1991 album Dangerous. Released in February 1993 by Epic Records, the track features Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash, whose snarling riffs give the song a raw, aggressive edge. Written and produced by Jackson and Bill Bottrell, the lyrics carry an overtly sexual tension, with critics noting its confrontational tone. Though it didn't get a music video, the single performed strongly overseas, hitting number one in New Zealand for four weeks and peaking at number two on the UK Singles Chart. It was issued across Europe, Australia, and Japan, backed by B-sides "Dirty Diana" and "Beat It." The song stands as one of Jackson's harder-edged moments, blending pop sensibility with rock grit.
