Giselle Lomelino

Giselle Lomelino is an American YouTube star, actress, and author, best known as the eldest of the three sisters behind the GEM Sisters channel. The channel blends comedy sketches, vlogs, and life hack videos into a family-friendly mix that has pulled in over 1.5 million subscribers. Giselle and her sisters have also written books and appeared in Nickelodeon shows.

As of 2026, Giselle is focusing on college while the GEM Sisters channel takes a break. She has built a reputation for clean, uplifting content that resonates with a young audience. Fans know her as the big sister of the trio, often the one steering the skits with a playful energy. Her individual Instagram account, @gisellelomelino, offers a more personal glimpse into her life beyond the channel. [edit]

Giselle grew up in a lively household with her two younger sisters, Evangeline and Mercedes, and three adopted siblings. Her parents, MéLisa Lomelino and Ryun Hovind, encouraged creativity from an early age. Her mother works as a director and writer, while her father is a professor.

From a young age, Giselle dreamed of becoming a popular celebrity. That ambition took a concrete turn in August 2015 when she and her sisters launched the GEM Sisters YouTube channel. Their first video, titled "Our First Vlog : VLOG IT // GEM Sisters," marked the start of their online journey. The channel's name comes from the first letters of each sister's name: Giselle, Evangeline, and Mercedes.

Before the channel took off, the sisters spent hours filming silly skits and practicing their comedy timing at home. Their early content was raw and playful, aimed at capturing the same energy as the Vine compilations they loved watching. That homemade charm quickly found an audience. [edit]

The GEM Sisters channel grew steadily after its 2015 launch, with Giselle and her sisters posting a steady stream of comedy sketches and vlogs. One of their biggest hits, "10 Worst Things on Halloween // GEM Sisters," released in October 2016, has amassed over 31 million views. Another popular video, "Embarrassing Shopping Trip Skits," passed 15 million views.

In 2017, the sisters expanded into publishing with "Pup-Napped!," the first book in their Sister Detectives series. They followed it with "Haunted Horse Camp" and "Runway Rumors." Giselle also tried her hand at acting, landing roles in "The JoJo & BowBow Show Show" (2018) and "Just My Luck with Sophia and Maya" (2019).

The channel's success led to collaborations with Nickelodeon, further cementing their place in family-friendly entertainment. In May 2025, the sisters announced a hiatus from regular uploads to explore individual paths. Giselle shifted her focus to college, signaling a new chapter in her career. [edit]

Giselle and her sisters project a wholesome, energetic image that appeals to tweens and teens. Their content often celebrates diversity and female empowerment, with slogans like "girls are funny" and "brown is beautiful." The official fan base is called the GEM Squad, and the sisters engage with them warmly across social media. Giselle's personal brand is that of the responsible yet playful older sister, a role that comes naturally both on and off camera. [edit]

Giselle Lomelino may not hold a spot in iFANN's published rankings as of August 2026, but her presence in the digital entertainment world is quietly significant. The Global Fame Engine has evaluated her, yet she remains unranked, no placement in the Global Top 1,000 or any Top-100 scope list. That neutrality, however, doesn't diminish her impact among a dedicated young audience. Her fanbase, while not formally named in iFANN data, is a lively community of tweens and teens who tune into the GEM Sisters channel for its wholesome, energetic blend of comedy and life hacks.

What sets Giselle apart is her role as the responsible yet playful older sister, a persona that resonates deeply with viewers who see her as a relatable figure navigating the ups and downs of adolescence and young adulthood. Her individual Instagram, @gisellelom, offers a more personal glimpse, with 21.5K followers engaging with her posts about school life and girl's nights out. The GEM Sisters channel itself, launched in October 2015, has amassed over 1.5 million subscribers, a reflection of the family's consistent output and their collaboration with Nickelodeon.

While there's no documented fandom name or organized fan campaigns, the community's enthusiasm is evident in the comments and the channel's longevity. Giselle's journey, from childhood stardom to college student, is one that many of her fans are growing up alongside, creating a bond that transcends typical fan-celebrity dynamics. As she focuses on her education, the channel's break doesn't diminish her legacy, it simply adds a new chapter to a story her fans are eager to follow.[edit]

Giselle Lomelino has never touched a drop of alcohol, a choice that aligns perfectly with her wholesome, family-friendly brand. She is proudly multiracial, identifying as White and Latino, and her heritage is a point of connection with her diverse audience. The GEM Sisters have collaborated with Nickelodeon on multiple occasions, bringing their playful energy to a broader platform.

One of the most cherished moments for fans came in a September 2020 video where Giselle joked about being "very, very single", a line that became an instant favorite and is still quoted in comment sections. Her 18th birthday in April 2021 was celebrated with a special "18th BIRTHDAY HAUL" video, a milestone that her fans eagerly watched to see her transition into adulthood.

In the realm of legends, Giselle's story is still being written. There are no tales of chaotic fan encounters or viral stunts, her journey is marked by quieter, more personal milestones. The most iconic moment remains that birthday haul, a standard YouTube genre piece, yet for her fans, it's a piece of her life they got to share. Interestingly, some sources list her as a "former" member of the GEM Sisters, hinting at a potential shift, but her legacy as the big sister of the trio remains intact in the hearts of the GEM Squad.[edit]

Giselle is the oldest of three biological sisters, with Evangeline and Mercedes following her. The family also includes three adopted siblings, making for a busy household. Her mother, MéLisa Lomelino, works as a director and writer, while her father, Ryun Hovind, is a professor. The family's supportive dynamic often shows up in the sisters' videos, where their parents occasionally make appearances. [edit]

Giselle is part of the GEM Sisters trio with her sisters Evangeline and Mercedes. The channel has collaborated with Nickelodeon on various projects. One of their parody music videos spoofed Katy Perry's "Roar." [edit]

Giselle has kept her romantic life largely private. In September 2020, she explicitly stated in a YouTube video that she was "very, very single" and not hiding any secret boyfriend. Some sources, including Famous Birthdays, have mentioned a boyfriend named Robert, but Giselle has never confirmed this publicly.

In September 2023, one of her sisters referred to a male friend as a "boy best friend," clarifying he was not a boyfriend. As of 2026, Giselle is reported to be single, with no public records of a romantic partner, engagement, or marriage. [edit]

iFANN currently estimates Giselle Lomelino's net worth at $6 million. This figure is the result of the editorial team's analysis of her various income streams, primarily the GEM Sisters YouTube channel. With over 1.5 million subscribers and hundreds of millions of total views, the channel generates substantial ad revenue. Videos like "10 Worst Things on Halloween" have individually pulled in tens of millions of views, contributing to a steady stream of earnings.

Beyond YouTube, Giselle and her sisters have diversified their income. Their Sister Detectives book series, which began with "Pup-Napped!" in 2017, has brought in royalties. Acting roles in Nickelodeon shows such as "The JoJo & BowBow Show Show" and "Just My Luck with Sophia and Maya" have also padded her finances. The GEM Sisters brand extends to merchandise and sponsored content, further boosting her financial standing.

As of 2026, Giselle's focus on college has led to less frequent uploads, but the channel's existing library continues to generate revenue. The break hasn't halted the income stream, as the content remains popular with new viewers discovering it. This combination of ongoing ad revenue, book sales, and past acting gigs underpins the iFANN estimate of $6 million.[edit]
