Hagi's trophy cabinet is a testament to his brilliance: seven Romanian Footballer of the Year awards, more than any other player, and a spot in the 1994 World Cup All-Star Team. He is the joint all-time leading scorer for Romania with 35 goals, a record he shares with Adrian Mutu. UEFA named him Romania's Golden Player for the 50th anniversary in 2003, and Pelé included him in the FIFA 100 list in 2004. He also led Galatasaray to their first European trophies, the UEFA Cup and UEFA Super Cup in 2000, cementing his status as a club legend.
