Slay the Spire

Mega Crit crafted a roguelite deck-builder that turned card games into high-stakes climbing expeditions. Players choose one of four distinct characters to scale a procedurally generated spire, fighting through floors of enemies and bosses. Combat relies on a strategic card system where every draw matters. You build your deck during the climb by adding new cards as rewards, forcing you to adapt your strategy to the monsters in front of you. The game launched in early access for Windows, macOS, and Linux in late 2017 before its full release in January 2019. Publishers later brought the experience to consoles and mobile devices, including the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, iOS, and Android.
