The Fugees achieved a remarkable set of firsts and records. The Score was the first rap album to be certified 7x Platinum by the RIAA. Killing Me Softly became the first hip-hop song to be certified Diamond. The group was the first hip-hop act to win a Brit Award for Best International Group and an American Music Award for Favorite Rap/Hip-Hop Artist. The Score was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2005 and added to the National Recording Registry in 2011. Rolling Stone ranked the album #74 on its 500 Greatest Albums of All Time list, and the group #77 on its 100 Greatest Artists list.
