Fredo Bang

Fredrick Dewon Thomas Givens II, known to the world as Fredo Bang, brings the raw energy of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, straight to the hip-hop scene. Born on March 29, 1996, this 30-year-old artist carved out a distinct path by blending gritty storytelling with hard-hitting beats that resonate deeply with Southern audiences. His journey from local streets to national recognition began in earnest when he caught the attention of major labels, eventually leading to a partnership that would define his early career. The turning point arrived in 2020 with the release of Top, a track that quickly gained traction across streaming platforms. The song became even bigger after Lil Durk joined for a remix, pushing the single to earn platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America. That momentum carried over into his debut studio album, Most Hated, which dropped later that same year. Se Lavi Productions and Def Jam Recordings handled the release, while Moneybagg Yo served as executive producer, lending his own clout to help elevate the project. Fredo Bang's rise reflects a consistent output of music that captures the struggles and triumphs of life in the South. His ability to craft verses that feel both personal and universal has built a loyal fanbase eager for every new drop. While his catalog continues to grow, the impact of Top and Most Hated remains central to his identity as an artist who refuses to shy away from difficult subjects. Through his work, he solidifies his place among the modern voices shaping the sound of contemporary rap.[edit]
