Fred Beyer

Fred Beyer is an American YouTube content creator and prankster known for his self-titled channel, where he films public stunts and pranks on strangers. Since launching the channel in 2021, he has built a following of over 2.4 million subscribers and amassed more than 248 million total views. His videos, which blend humor, trolling, and improvised confrontation, have made him one of the more recognizable figures in the genre.

Beyer's content often pushes boundaries, whether he is crashing a fashion week runway or sneaking onto the NFL Draft stage. While his antics draw both laughs and criticism, they consistently generate millions of views. As of 2026, he continues to upload regularly, and his subscriber count keeps climbing.

Fans appreciate his fearless, chaotic energy and his willingness to go where most wouldn't. His persona is that of an everyday guy with an outsized appetite for mischief, and that relatability is a big part of his appeal. [edit]

Fred Beyer was born on February 25, 2002, in Venice, Florida, a coastal city known for its beaches and small-town atmosphere. He grew up in this environment, where he developed a knack for comedy and attention-grabbing antics. He reportedly started pulling pranks as early as middle school, a hobby that would later define his career. He attended local schools in Venice, though specific details about his education are not publicly documented.

Growing up, Beyer often found himself in trouble for his practical jokes, but his natural charisma and quick thinking turned these moments into entertainment. He has mentioned that people often assume he is shorter than he is, and are surprised to see he stands 6'3" in person. Before YouTube, he worked typical jobs and experimented with content creation on other platforms.

He launched his self-titled YouTube channel on January 24, 2021, uploading his first video, "I took a shopping cart to a skatepark," that same year. The video, which showed him pushing a shopping cart down a skate ramp, was a modest start, but it set the tone for the public-prank style he would become known for. In those early days, Beyer filmed with friends, including Ian, Jimmy, and Zach, who frequently appear in his videos. He learned the ropes of editing and audience engagement, and though his channel grew slowly at first, his persistence and willingness to take risks laid the groundwork for the viral moments that followed. [edit]

Fred Beyer's breakthrough came in 2022 when his compilation video "Funniest Pranks of 2022" went viral, racking up over 7.9 million views. That single video catapulted his channel from obscurity to a wider audience, and his subscriber count began to climb steadily. The following year, "Funniest Pranks Of 2023" pulled in more than 3.4 million views, and his subscriber base jumped from 150,000 to over 490,000.

By 2024, Beyer was collaborating with other creators and celebrities. In December 2024, he met rapper NLE Choppa and posted a video with him, further expanding his reach. In October 2025, he crashed a runway during New York Fashion Week, a stunt that earned his video over 280,000 likes and brought him mainstream attention.

In April 2026, Beyer pulled off his most audacious prank yet: he sneaked onto the NFL Draft stage in Pittsburgh using fake credentials and attempted to announce a fake pick. The stunt led to a criminal trespass citation and an indefinite ban from all NFL events. The NFL later took down his video "I Pranked the NFL draft" after it reached 1 million views, but the publicity only boosted his profile.

By August 2026, his main channel had grown to approximately 2.4 million subscribers, and he continues to produce content that blurs the line between comedy and controversy. [edit]

Fred Beyer's public persona is that of a fearless, chaotic prankster who will go to extreme lengths for a laugh. His videos often involve public stunts, trolling, and capturing unfiltered reactions, which can be both hilarious and uncomfortable. Media coverage tends to frame him as a YouTube personality who pushes boundaries, especially after his NFL Draft stunt.

His fans see him as funny and trustworthy, someone who embodies the spirit of internet mischief. However, critics have called out his pranks for being invasive or bordering on harassment. Beyer himself acknowledges the risks, telling a podcast in December 2025 that "people don't really understand the toll it takes on you mentally."

He is known for his improvisational style and his willingness to face consequences, which only adds to his appeal among a younger, thrill-seeking audience. [edit]

Fred Beyer commands a loose aggregation of viewers rather than an organized fanbase, characterized by passive consumption of shock value and viral stunts instead of formal chapters or campaigns. His audience interacts primarily through digital platforms where they refer to him by the nickname Derf, derived from his self-proclaimed moniker Derftopia on TikTok. While fans occasionally rally around the virality of his content, such as the NFL Draft video that hit one million views before removal, there are no documented rituals, charity drives, or fan-funded projects specific to his community. The cultural mythology surrounding him is defined almost exclusively by the verified event of April 28, 2026, when he infiltrated the NFL Draft stage in Pittsburgh to announce a fake selection for the Steelers. This incident transformed him from a generic prankster into a notorious figure who breached one of the most secure sporting events in the world, resulting in an indefinite ban from all NFL stadiums and criminal charges. Despite this notoriety, iFANN's Global Fame Engine has evaluated Fred Beyer, and he does not currently hold a placement in the published rankings for the Global Top 1,000 or any Top-100 scope list.[edit]

Fred Beyer was once banned from TwitchCon after interfering with an opponent's controller during a gaming tournament. He has mentioned that people often think he is shorter on camera and are surprised by his height in person. Some fan-generated trivia jokingly states he eats license plates and is a furry, though these are likely humorous fan contributions rather than factual. Despite his bold on-camera persona, he has mentioned that he feels the pressure of maintaining viral success. A defining legend of his career occurred in late April 2026 when he infiltrated the NFL Draft stage in Pittsburgh. Once on the broadcast set, he grabbed the microphone and announced a fake selection for the home team, causing significant disruption during the live telecast. The stunt garnered over one million views before being taken down by the NFL, cementing his legacy as the YouTuber who walked onto the draft stage. Following the breach, he faced immediate legal consequences and an indefinite ban from all NFL venues, marking the culmination of his public career through viral pranks and subsequent legal fallout.[edit]

Fred Beyer was born and raised in Venice, Florida, to parents whose names are not publicly known. He has siblings, though their names and details are not public. He tends to keep his family life out of the spotlight, rarely sharing photos or stories about his parents or siblings on social media. As of 2026, he is not married and has no children. [edit]

Fred Beyer is associated with rapper NLE Choppa, whom he met in December 2024 and featured in a YouTube video. He also collaborates with a group of friends, including Ian, Jimmy, and Zach, who frequently appear in his prank videos and help with filming. [edit]

Fred Beyer keeps his personal life private, and there is no public information about his dating history or current relationship status. As of 2026, he appears to be single and focused on his career. [edit]
