Fire Force

Set in an alternate history Tokyo, the narrative begins with a world plagued by spontaneous human combustion. Victims transform into Infernals, monsters wreathed in green flames that possess superhuman strength and a drive to consume humanity. Shinra Kusakabe, a third-generation pyrokinetic capable of igniting his feet to run at high speeds, joins Special Fire Force Company 8. This specialized brigade operates under the Imperial Capital Fire Department, tasked with extinguishing Infernals while investigating the conspiracy behind the phenomenon.

The story weaves together action, supernatural horror, and dark fantasy elements typical of Atsushi Ōkubo's style. It explores themes of faith, government corruption, and found family dynamics within the ranks of the firefighters. The series serves as a prequel to Soul Eater, featuring subtle lore connections and shared universe elements revealed as the plot progresses.
