Covers

What stands out about O'Shea's record so far is not the trophy count but the choices. He has built a filmography around Irish stories and queer narratives at a time when both were having a genuine moment on screen, and he has done it without a single commercial franchise to lean on. An IFTA win for Normal People at 24, a lead in a Steven Knight Netflix drama at 28, and a digital cover for i-D as a breakout star is a strong arc for someone who only left drama school in 2015.

AwardsO'Shea's main trophy is the Irish Film & Television Award for Best Supporting Actor in Drama, won for Normal People. Beyond that his record is mostly critical recognition and festival selection rather than silverware, which is normal for an actor still in his twenties.
