Ferrari Purosangue

Ferrari unveiled the Purosangue in September 2022, marking its first production vehicle with four doors and four seats. The name means 'thoroughbred' in Italian, a nod to both the prancing horse logo and the purebred engineering under the skin. Ferrari refuses to call it an SUV, coining the term 'Ferrari Utility Vehicle' to keep the focus on performance over utility.

Under the long hood sits a 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine, producing 725 horsepower. It is the same F140IA family found in the 812 Superfast, here tuned to deliver 80 percent of its peak torque from just 2,100 rpm. An eight-speed dual-clutch transmission and a standard all-wheel-drive system send power to all four wheels, though above fifth gear the car reverts to rear-wheel drive. The result is a 0-60 mph sprint in 3.2 seconds and a top speed of 193 mph.

The Purosangue rides on an all-new chassis with a carbon-fiber roof to keep weight down. Active suspension, derived from Ferrari's most extreme sports cars, uses multichamber air springs and electronically controlled dampers to balance comfort with cornering grip. Behind the distinctive rear-hinged coach doors, which open electronically, four heated bucket seats provide space for adults. There is no rear bench; the cabin is strictly a four-seater. The largest boot ever fitted to a Ferrari offers 17 cubic feet of cargo room, expandable by folding the rear seats. [edit]
