Valverde's trophy cabinet includes three La Liga titles, two UEFA Champions Leagues, two FIFA Club World Cups, two UEFA Super Cups, and a Copa del Rey. He is one of the most decorated Uruguayan players of his generation, and his EFE Trophy in 2023 recognized him as the best Ibero-American player in Spain. His ability to perform in big matches, like the 2020 Spanish Super Cup final, has made him a fan favorite.

AwardsValverde won the EFE Trophy for best Ibero-American player in La Liga in 2023. He has been included in the UEFA Champions League Squad of the Season twice (2022, 2024) and the La Liga Team of the Season in 2023.
