Fotbal Club FCSB operates as a professional football club based in Bucharest, competing exclusively in Liga I since the league's formation. The organization traces its roots to June 7, 1947, when it was established as ASA București under the Ministry of National Defence. Decades later, the entity underwent a significant transformation following legal disputes over the use of the Steaua brand, eventually rebranding as FCSB in 2017 after separating from the original CSA Steaua București.
