A major turning point arrived with the completion of the Krasnodar Stadium in 2016, later renamed Ozon Arena. This venue provided the infrastructure needed for serious European ambitions. Before the suspension of Russian clubs in 2022, Krasnodar became a regular fixture in the UEFA Europa League and qualified for Champions League group stages on multiple occasions. The 2024–25 season marked the pinnacle of their domestic journey. After years of consistent finishes in the upper table, the team finally captured the Russian Premier League championship.
