FC Juárez, known as Los Bravos de Juárez, brings professional soccer back to the border city of Ciudad Juárez after a decades-long absence. Founded in May 2015, the club began its journey in Ascenso MX before making a historic leap to Liga MX by purchasing the franchise rights from Lobos BUAP in 2019. After spending four years building a foundation in the second division, Ascenso MX, the club executed a major transaction in 2019. FC Juárez bought the Liga MX license previously held by Lobos BUAP, allowing them to bypass promotion playoffs and enter the top flight immediately for the 2019–2020 season.

This rapid ascent did not come without challenges. The team faced immediate pressure to compete against Mexico's most historic clubs while operating with a younger roster structure. Over the following seasons, the club navigated relegation battles and struggled to find consistent footing in the upper table. By August 2026, the squad sat in 18th place in the Liga MX standings, highlighting an ongoing struggle to secure stability in the league.

Recent performance metrics underscore these difficulties. A 3-0 defeat to Real Salt Lake in the Leagues Cup during August 2026 exposed defensive weaknesses that plagued the team throughout the tournament.
