Several years after the events of the first film, Dominic Toretto lives as a fugitive in the Dominican Republic, leading a crew that includes his girlfriend Letty Ortiz, Han Lue, and others. Both Dom and Brian independently seek entry into Braga's smuggling crew, which recruits drivers via illegal street races in Los Angeles. Through Braga's recruitment, they participate in cross-border drug runs using pre-planned routes and tunnels.
