Fandi Ahmad's achievements are remarkable for their breadth and longevity. He was the first Singaporean to play professional football in Europe, a trailblazer who opened doors for future generations. His 101 caps for Singapore remain a national record, and his leadership as captain from 1993 to 1997 guided the team to three Southeast Asian Games silver medals.
