Janssen was appointed Officer of the Order of Orange-Nassau by the Dutch government in 2015, recognizing her humanitarian work. That same year she became a United Nations Goodwill Ambassador for the UNDP, focusing on gender equality and women's empowerment. She has not received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
