Ribeiro's back-to-back Bola de Ouro wins in 2013 and 2014 place him in an elite group of Brazilian footballers. Only a handful of players, including Zico and Ronaldinho Gaúcho, have achieved this consecutive honor. He was a central figure in Cruzeiro's historic back-to-back league titles and later in Flamengo's golden era, which included two Copa Libertadores triumphs. His consistency, creativity, and leadership have made him one of the most respected Brazilian midfielders of his generation.

AwardsRibeiro won the Bola de Ouro as the best player of the Campeonato Brasileiro in both 2013 and 2014, a rare consecutive achievement. He also won the Bola de Prata as best left midfielder in those same years, and was named Craque do Campeonato Brasileiro by the CBF in 2013 and 2014. He received the Troféu Mesa Redonda for best player in 2014 and the Prêmio Craque da Galera fan favorite award in 2014.
