Eternal achieved a level of success rarely seen by British girl groups in the 1990s. They secured fifteen UK Top 20 hits between 1993 and 1999, a record that stood for years. Their debut album Always & Forever went four-times platinum, selling millions of copies across the globe. The group also holds the distinction of being the first British girl group to achieve three consecutive UK number-one singles.

AwardsEternal received seven Brit Award nominations throughout their career but only won two major international awards. They took home the Mobo Award for Best Single in 1997 for "I Wanna Be the Only One" and the MTV Europe Music Award for Best Song in the same year. These wins highlighted their impact on the British music scene during the mid-90s.
