Enver Altaylı

Enver Altaylı stands out as a rare figure who successfully transitioned from high-level intelligence operations to public intellectualism. His contribution to understanding the geopolitical complexities of Central Asia and Afghanistan is widely acknowledged in academic circles. The depth of his access to Cold War-era intelligence, particularly through his friendship with Ruzi Nazar, provides a unique perspective that few other scholars can offer. His willingness to publish these accounts despite the risks demonstrates a commitment to historical transparency.
