Emmanuel Mudiay

Emmanuel Kabeya Mudiay, born March 5, 1996, in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo, is a professional basketball player known for his playmaking and athleticism. Raised in Texas, he starred at Grace Preparatory Academy and Prime Prep Academy, where his talent drew national attention. In 2013, he committed to SMU, but instead chose to turn pro, signing with the Guangdong Southern Tigers of the Chinese Basketball Association. After an injury-riddled season, Mudiay entered the 2015 NBA draft and was selected seventh overall by the Denver Nuggets.
