Growing up in England, Emily Steel developed a deep fascination with physical strength and endurance early on. Unlike many of her peers who focused on a single sport, she pursued a dual path of Olympic weightlifting and musical expression. Her upbringing was marked by a disciplined routine that prioritized training alongside her education. She spent her late teens mastering the technical nuances of the clean and jerk, often training in local gyms across the UK where she honed the explosive power required for elite competition.

While dedicating herself to becoming a top-tier weightlifter, Steel also began writing songs and performing at local venues. She drew inspiration from country music traditions, blending them with her own experiences as an athlete. This period was defined by grueling schedules that demanded peak physical condition for training and creative energy for songwriting. By 2022, she had joined an elite CrossFit team and started gaining recognition in regional championships for her impressive strength-to-weight ratio. These years laid the groundwork for her eventual breakthrough into the national spotlight. [edit]
