Eiji Kawashima

Born in Yono, Japan, on March 20, 1983, Eiji Kawashima is a seasoned professional association football player who commands the position of goalkeeper. His career has seen him play for numerous clubs across Japan, Belgium, Scotland, and France before his recent return to his native country. Kawashima began his professional journey in Japan, featuring for Omiya Ardija, Nagoya Grampus Eight, and Kawasaki Frontale. In 2010, he made the move to Europe, signing with Lierse S.K. in Belgium. He continued his European adventure with Standard Liège from 2012 to 2015, followed by a stint at Dundee United in Scotland for the 2015-2016 season. French clubs Metz and Strasbourg were his next destinations, where he played from 2016 until 2023. In 2024, he rejoined the Japanese football scene, signing with J2 League club Júbilo Iwata.
