Dream to You
South Korea"Some reunions are worth the wait."
Overview
Jeong Eun-bi created this bittersweet romantic comedy for ENA, starring Hwang In-youp as Woo Su-bin and Lee Hye-ri as Joo Yi-jae. The series aired two consecutive nights in July 2026, totaling 12 episodes. It blends nostalgia and slice-of-life humor with a reunion plot that flips the typical rom-com dynamic. Early ratings hit 9.75 out of 10 from a small but enthusiastic audience, signaling a cult hit in the making.
The story follows two high school classmates who reconnect in their 30s with their life outlooks completely swapped. Su-bin was once a shy bookworm, now a confident TV reporter; Yi-jae was an ambitious filmmaker, now a disillusioned production assistant. Their journey back to each other and to their dreams forms the heart of the series.

In 2012, Woo Su-bin was a quiet, studious boy in a small provincial town, nursing a secret crush on the outgoing Joo Yi-jae, who dreamed of becoming a filmmaker. She never noticed him. A misunderstanding drove them apart before graduation, and they lost touch for fifteen years.
Now in their 30s, both live in Seoul. Su-bin has transformed into a polished, ambitious TV reporter at a major broadcasting station, climbing the ranks with ease. Yi-jae, by contrast, has seen her dreams crumble. She dropped out of film school, lost her father, and now works as a low-level production assistant on a failing variety show, supporting her younger brother. When Su-bin is assigned to cover Yi-jae's show, they meet again without recognizing each other at first. Episode 2 reveals their shared past through flashbacks, and by Episode 4, they acknowledge their history and begin tentatively reconnecting.
As Su-bin learns the full extent of Yi-jae's struggles, he offers to help her make a short film for a competition that could restart her career. Their collaboration brings comedic clashes, Yi-jae's chaotic, intuitive style versus Su-bin's meticulous planning, but also rekindles old feelings. Meanwhile, Yi-jae's former mentor Seo In-wook, a cynical veteran director, tries to discourage her from returning to the industry, while Su-bin's ambitious colleague Oh Ha-na pursues him both professionally and personally. Yi-jae's younger sister Chae Sa-rang provides emotional grounding and comic relief.
Across 12 episodes, the series builds toward Yi-jae's film competition deadline, weaving in nostalgic flashbacks, workplace comedy, and a slowly developing romance that prioritizes emotional healing over dramatic declarations. The season explores whether two people who have fundamentally changed can reconnect, and whether Yi-jae can rediscover her passion for filmmaking with Su-bin's help.
