Doris Burke's career is defined by a series of historic firsts. She was the first woman to call a New York Knicks game on radio and television (1990), the first full-time female NBA game analyst on ESPN (2003), and the first woman to serve as a television game analyst for a championship final in a major North American men's professional sports league (2024 NBA Finals). She has called over 1,000 NBA games and received the prestigious Curt Gowdy Media Award from the Basketball Hall of Fame.
