Donavan McKinney

Donavan McKinney's most significant accomplishment to date is his upset victory in the 2026 Democratic primary, where he defeated two-term incumbent Shri Thanedar. This victory was notable for its grassroots nature, with McKinney raising over $1.2 million in individual contributions against a self-funding opponent. The win positioned him as a rising progressive star and could send him to Congress in November.
