Records

Donald Sutherland's career was marked by remarkable longevity and range. He was one of the few actors to receive an Academy Honorary Award without ever being nominated for a competitive Oscar. His work earned him two Golden Globes, an Emmy, and a Critics' Choice Award. He was inducted into Canada's Walk of Fame in 2000 and received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2011. In 2019, he was elevated to Companion of the Order of Canada, the country's highest civilian honor. Sutherland also received France's Ordre des Arts et des Lettres.

AwardsDonald Sutherland won a Primetime Emmy Award and a Golden Globe for his role in Citizen X (1995). He earned another Golden Globe for Path to War (2002). In 2017, he received an Academy Honorary Award for lifetime achievement. He also won a Critics' Choice Television Award for The Undoing (2021) and a Genie Award for Threshold (1983).
