Dohoon

Kim Do-hoon is a South Korean singer and dancer best known as a main vocalist of the boy group TWS under Pledis Entertainment. Since his debut in early 2024, he has established himself as a central figure in the group's vocal lineup, recognized for his energetic stage presence and distinctive voice that blends power with emotional nuance.

As of 2026, Dohoon remains an active performer navigating the fast-paced world of fourth-generation K-pop. He balances rigorous promotional schedules with variety show appearances, where his natural comedic timing and relatable personality have endeared him to audiences beyond just music charts. His current focus includes international expansion for TWS and continued development of his songwriting skills within the group's creative process. [edit]

Dohoon spent part of his childhood in Daejeon before moving back to Seoul to continue his education. Born on January 30, 2005, in Nowon District, he grew up in a household that included an older brother born in 2003. His early schooling took place at Seoul Yongwon Elementary School followed by Hancheon Middle School, both located in the capital region. This move between cities gave him a diverse cultural backdrop that he has occasionally referenced when discussing his personal growth.

Before entering the entertainment industry, there is no public record of Dohoon pursuing formal music training outside of self-directed practice or audition preparation. His path to stardom began through the rigorous idol training system after being scouted or auditioning for Pledis Entertainment. The transition from a student in Seoul and Daejeon to a trainee involved intense vocal and dance conditioning designed to prepare him for the competitive landscape of K-pop debuts. [edit]

TWS officially debuted on January 22, 2024, with the mini-album Sparkling Blue, marking the beginning of Dohoon's professional career. As one of the main vocalists, he quickly became a fan favorite for his ability to handle complex vocal lines and deliver charismatic performances that define the group's identity. The album achieved immediate commercial success, topping various Korean music charts upon release and setting a high bar for their subsequent releases.

In 2025, the group solidified its position as a rising powerhouse with the SUMMER BEE EP, during which Dohoon continued to showcase his vocal versatility. A significant milestone occurred on April 27, 2026, with the release of their fifth EP, NO TRAGEDY. This project highlighted Dohoon's growing influence as he contributed songwriting ideas and prominent vocal parts to several tracks. By August 2026, after 17 months of regular appearances, he concluded his role on SBS's Show! Music Center as the group shifted focus toward international promotions and digital-focused campaigns. [edit]

Dohoon projects a youthful and charming image that resonates strongly with younger demographics. On stage, his style blends trendy streetwear with polished fashion, reflecting the group's aesthetic of modern pop sensibility. Off-stage, he favors casual comfort, often seen in hoodies and sneakers. His social media presence is defined by interactive posts sharing behind-the-scenes content and humorous moments, making him appear approachable and genuine to his followers. [edit]

iFANN has not yet collected fame data for this person. Regarding iFAMOUS, Dohoon is not featured on the September 2026 iFAMOUS Rankings flagship list. The fandom surrounding TWS is highly organized, engaging in coordinated streaming campaigns and birthday projects. While the official fandom name is TWSEEN, Dohoon specifically has cultivated a dedicated following through his interactive social media presence. Fans often create inside jokes around him, such as the "Chocolate Ho" meme referencing a viral moment with chocolate-themed content. They also organize subway ads and billboards for his birthday, showcasing their deep dedication to his individual success alongside the group. [edit]

Dohoon shares a close bond with his fellow members and often takes charge of cooking duties during group activities and dorm life. He has a well-documented love for coffee, a trait that became viral when DAY6's Young K gifted him a special coffee truck during a promotional event in July 2026. Despite his cheerful public persona, he enjoys watching horror movies, a contrast that surprises many fans who know him only for his bright energy. He also maintains a keen interest in composition, frequently contributing ideas to TWS's later albums rather than just performing them. [edit]

Dohoon was raised partly in Daejeon before returning to Seoul for his education. He lives with his family, including an older brother who was born in 2003. While specific details about his parents are not widely publicized, he has mentioned in interviews that his upbringing in both Seoul and Daejeon shaped his personality traits and provided a diverse cultural foundation for his life. As of 2026, Dohoon remains single with no confirmed romantic relationships, engagements, or marriages publicly documented. In the K-pop industry, idols are typically restricted from dating by agency policies, especially during their early career stages. While fan speculation sometimes highlights popular idols among certain demographics, these do not constitute confirmed relationships. In February 2026, Dohoon addressed a rumor regarding physical contact with fellow idol Karina of aespa. He clarified that any perceived touching was unintentional and resulted from a minor mishap during a live performance, specifically scratching his hand against her arm while moving on stage. This incident was widely reported and subsequently debunked as a non-romantic misunderstanding. [edit]

The iFANN Editorial Team's analysis of Dohoon's earnings, ventures and assets points to roughly $100 Thousand. As a relatively new artist debuting in 2024, his income is managed privately by Pledis Entertainment and consists of earnings from album sales, streaming royalties, and endorsement deals. Estimates suggest his annual income falls within the range typical for mid-tier idols, likely between $50,000 and $150,000 USD annually. No real estate holdings or independent business ventures have been reported for him personally at this stage of his career. [edit]
