DJ Bigga Rankin's greatest achievement is his role as a talent scout who reshaped Southern hip-hop. He discovered Gucci Mane, Waka Flocka Flame, and OJ da Juiceman, and executive produced albums that went platinum. His mixtape series were essential listening in the 2000s. In 2015, he received the Key to the City of Jackson, Mississippi, and in 2019, blogs named him "A&R of the Decade." His memoir The A&R (2020) chronicles his journey from mixtape hustler to industry kingmaker.
