Diplo's influence extends far beyond his own records. He has been named the world's top DJ by Billboard's Dance 100 list (as part of Jack Ü) and has consistently ranked in the top 30 of DJ Mag's Top 100 DJs, peaking at number 23. His label Mad Decent is credited with popularizing moombahton and global bass genres, shaping the sound of electronic music in the 2010s. He holds a Guinness World Record with Major Lazer for most consecutive weeks in the UK Top 10 by a dance act for "Lean On."
