Diego Forlán's trophy cabinet is a testament to his brilliance. He is one of only two players to win the European Golden Shoe in two different seasons for two different clubs, and he is the only Uruguayan to win the World Cup Golden Ball. His 2010 World Cup performance is legendary: five goals, including two free kicks, and a semifinal run that captivated the world. He also won the Copa América in 2011, scoring twice in the final. Forlán's individual awards include two Pichichi trophies, two European Golden Shoes, and a place in the UEFA Team of the Year. He is a national hero in Uruguay and a fan favorite at Atlético Madrid.
