Derrick Rose's MVP win at age 22 remains the youngest in NBA history, a record that still stands. He is one of only a handful of players to win both Rookie of the Year and MVP with the same franchise. His 50-point game in 2018, coming after years of injury struggles, was one of the most emotionally resonant performances in recent NBA history. He also earned a gold medal with Team USA at the 2010 FIBA World Championship.

AwardsRose won the NBA Most Valuable Player award in 2011, becoming the youngest recipient in league history at age 22. He also earned NBA Rookie of the Year in 2009, made three All-Star appearances, and was named to the All-NBA First Team in 2011. In college, he was a consensus second-team All-American and Conference USA Freshman of the Year. He also won gold at the 2010 FIBA World Championship with Team USA.
