DEEP Robotics

DEEP Robotics was founded in 2017 in Hangzhou, China, by Li Hang and Li Zhi. The company focuses on building rugged quadruped robots for industrial inspection, security patrol, and emergency response. Unlike many competitors that initially targeted consumers, DEEP Robotics aimed from the start at enterprise clients in energy, petrochemical, and public security sectors. Its robots are designed to operate in hazardous environments where wheeled or tracked vehicles cannot go, such as oil rigs, chemical plants, and mining sites.

The company's product line includes the Lite 3, a compact robot for education and light inspection; the Pro series (Pro 12, Pro 18), heavy-duty industrial robots with modular payloads like thermal cameras and gas sensors; and the Ranger series, a larger variant for logistics and cargo transport. DEEP Robotics also offers a fleet management system called DEEP Cloud and provides open SDKs for third-party developers. The robots are priced between $3,000 and $50,000+, depending on configuration.

As of 2025, DEEP Robotics is the second-largest quadruped robot manufacturer globally by shipment volume, behind Unitree Robotics and ahead of Boston Dynamics in unit sales. The company exports to over 30 countries, with regional offices in Singapore, Dubai, and Germany. In late 2024, it launched the Pro 18, capable of carrying a 30 kg payload for 4 hours. In early 2025, it announced a partnership with Huawei to integrate its robots with 5G and edge computing for smart factories. DEEP Robotics is also developing a humanoid robot prototype expected in 2026.[edit]
