    Davor Šuker's career is defined by historic achievements. He is Croatia's all-time leading scorer with 45 goals, a record he held for 20 years. At the 1998 World Cup, he became the first Croatian to win the Golden Boot, scoring six goals. He is the only Croatian on Pelé's FIFA 100 list. His six Croatian Footballer of the Year awards remain a record. As HNS president, he oversaw Croatia's first World Cup final appearance in 2018.
